2025 Spooky Small Business Roundup
As the year circles around again, I wanted to do a roundup of the small spooky business shops I supported in 2025. This post is dedicated to my email newsletter subscriber, Mara, who expressed her interest in me sharing my haul of Halloween event shopping finds. Thank you for taking the time to answer my email, Mara! This one is for you!
For all businesses shared here, I have decided to link to both their Instagram AND their website (if they have one). I have discovered that some shops don’t have an online store and tend to keep their social media page most up-to-date. Please be sure to follow their website and sign up for their email list if they have one.
If there is one goal I have for 2026 after writing this post, it is to actually take photos of my purchases in use. I was so terrible with that when trying to collect photos for this. Apologies for lack of haul images on this one…
New Small Business Discoveries in 2025
First things first! The new businesses I shopped with this year. Some, I have followed for a while. Meanwhile, others were completely new finds. Not included in this list are the vendors I shopped with during the Yuletide Oddities Market during Holidays at Winchester Mansion. You can explore those posts for all the vendors I discovered and who I shopped with [here], [here], [here] and [here].
Ashley Hay Design

This charming repurposed grandmother clock-turned-pumpkin is still stilling in storage. I couldn’t really bring it out this year, but I’m hoping I can find a space to do so next year!
Austin Pardun

Austin has been on my to-buy-from list for a while and I was not leaving Midsummer Scream 2025 without a copy of his artbook. I also ended up bringing home his illustrated Halloween alphabet book which I wasn’t even aware existed!
Christmas Spirits Magazine
These lovely ladies gifted me a copy of their second publication when we struck up conversation during Midsummer Scream 2025, but I went back to pick up the first book and started reading it as soon as I got home. I would still love to do a thorough write-up on these books, but let’s just say they’re a perfect addition to your yuletide ghost story time sessions! Excited to see how they continue this!
Crimson Hour Stationary
After YEARS of silently drooling over each new stationary release, I finally got to place an order and am in search of pen pals to use these delightful pieces for.
Ghoul at Heart

Lori’s new cookbook has been such a delight to flip through. This was truly a labor of love and it turned out so well. I cannot wait to try my hand at all of her recipes.
Gravehearts Design

I’m always a sucker for a unique enamel pin and I couldn’t pass up this detailed scuba diver skelly while at Midsummer Scream 2025.
Memento Mori Goods
Another shop I’ve been watching for a few years, I finally now own my own “big bag of spooky shit” and a “lil bag of spooky shit” in addition to two of their pins. I couldn’t resist the “beware of ghosts” and the crsytal ball was so eye catching.
Misfits of Eerie

A delightfully illustrated children’s book we came across at Midsummer Scream 2025. It’s pages are filled with mirthfully macabre poems of frightful fiends.
Peculiar Coffin
We came across this booth during Creep It Reel OC 2025 and fell in love with the illustrations. Of course two prints AND a mini framed ghost followed us home.
The Spoops
Not only did I purchase the newly released book, I also preordered a couple spoop figures. The littles LOVED the book and I’m so excited to surprise them with their own little spirits of Halloween this October.
Whichcraft Boutique

I kept meaning to return to this booth at Midsummer Scream 2025, but kept forgetting or didn’t have my wallet with me when I was there. Thankfully, they helped me put together an order of several scrunchies and bows and I just adore wearing them.
Winking Witches

Perhaps my favorite find of the year. First, at Midsummer Scream 2025 then again at Creep It Reel OC 2025. My first purchase included one ceramic ornament and a wood ornament of a moonflower with a spider. My second time shopping included four ornaments and a wire beaded spider. Her hand-painted ornaments and beaded spiders are truly something special. I’m still trying to figure out a way to display them as I’ve already broken one and I don’t want to loose any others.
Repeat Spooky Business Support in 2025
I often feel like the same businesses are thrown about so I tried very hard to shop with businesses new to me. However, when you find a shop you love, you keep shopping with them year after year, as you see here!
Carrie Anne Hudson
I am always excited to add Carrie’s pieces to my collection and her tiki black cat mug was my MUST buy for Midsummer Scream 2025. However, I also came across her booth at the Oddities and Curiosities Expo in San Jose in July and couldn’t pass up just looking. I don’t have a photo, but a print of her Over the Garden Wall Hallowtiki mug was added to my collection during the expo. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was bummed I didn’t get to purchase one of her winter hand painted ornaments like I have for the past couple years.
Comet Girl Sunnies
Although not necessarily a spooky business, I get all my spiderweb sunnies from her and this year, all of my snake sunnies also came from this shop. They are very affordable, delightfully painted and surprisingly durable. I always recommend her sunglasses for extra spooky flare.
Deadly Sweet Co.
You’ve heard me gush about Deadly Sweet’s sweets and we spoiled ourselves with coffins at almost every occasion when finding them at all the haunted events we attended this summer. No pics for these sweets. They were enjoyed before we could document them!
Dem Bones

I have been OBSESSED with her teas and used them in a couple cocktails here and there. Her blends are so unique and flavorful, you really don’t even need to add sugar or honey to them. This year I bought the following blends: Harvest Moon, Touch of Grey, Moonlit Garden, Briarwitch Winterberry and Practical Magic Mulling Spices. The Moonlit Garden was a little too much peppermint for me, but I have adored all of the other flavors.
Drew Rausch

At Midsummer Scream 2025, I got to catch up with some missing issues of Drew’s recent comic issues of “This Place is Full of Fiendish Things”. Even with experimenting in a new art style, I still adore his pieces and I couldn’t pass up his booth. Did you know Drew worked with myself and my husband to create several illustrations that we use for the Sips & Spirts podcast?
Evercrumbly and Witch

I have quite the collection of Evercrumbly witch hats and I was able to snag one of the rare limited spots this year for a custom sized hat. She’s still sitting in her box, but I cannot wait to wear her in the spring when the sun returns.
HallowWoods

What would a year be without HallowWood’s Halloween countdown calendar? I picked one up during Midsummer Scream 2025 in addition to an “All I want for Christmas is Halloween” tee and ghosty sticker.
Hall-Lore-Ween
Website | Instagram
You heard me gab about the second volume to Hall-Lore-Ween in October. Yes, I was very much looking forward to the second volume. Delightful work yet again, Josh!
Hazy Dell Press
Not only did I support their Kickstarter for their newest plushies (Chupacabra not pictured), but I also bought their latest book, “It’s Krampus Night”, in addition to filling in the missing books we still hadn’t added to our collection including “Hazel and the Spooky Season”, all of their chapter books, coloring books and their eek-a-BOO books. My littles LOVE Hazy Dell and they are usually the first books they grab from the shelf.
Sooky Co

I was delighted to see Sooky Co at Midsummer Scream 2025 and finally have the matching “treats” tee to my “tricks” tee. I also purchased a print I missed on purchasing in 2024, in addition to several notepads and a Fresno nightcrawler sticker sheet.
The Pickety Witch
I couldn’t resist the newest Yule Goat ornament to compliment the snowflake cobweb from a few years prior. I took the opportunity to purchase her Yule Cat and Mabon Stag pins too.
The Punkin Shop

I wish I could shop more often with Lauren, but I did get treated to a Christmas purse AND replacement Halloween sugar cookie slippers that I wore into the ground between Creep It Real OC 2024 to 2025. My hubby is the best!
Spooky Little Halloween the Magazine

Spooky’s zine subscription is the perfect dose of tricks and treats to gift yourself throughout the year. I always forget that I got it and its a pleasant surprise to see it pop up in my mail every season. And of course, her full size Spooky Little Magazine for 2025 had to be one of my favorite issues to date. I swear, I’m not being biased. There was just something about the energy and the vibe in it that I couldn’t put down and have flipped through several times over.
There Will Be Cute
Long time lover and repeat customer of Caley’s pieces, you can only imagine how I freaked out when I saw Fresno Nightcrawler earrings in her shop. Those and the iridescent Haunted House earrings have been frequent go-tos this year.
What are Your Spooky Business Finds of 2025?
Although the Menagerie Oddities Market introduced me to some spooktacular local small businesses, I am always up for unearthing more. Did you have a business you just completely died for or was there a purchase you need to gush over? Tell me! Tell me! I want to hear all about it!
