Creep It Real OC 2025

Creep It Real OC thrives on its spontaneity and we certainly didn’t let 2025 become an exception to that energy! This event was NOT in our books, but knew we had to see our favorite blue boy in the amazing display they created to showcase.

Never heard of Creep It Real OC? To summarize briefly, it is an outdoor festival of Halloween community creatives, artists and performers utilizing the beautiful Orange County Heritage Square in Santa Ana. Each year boasts a new theme. For 2025, the theme was “Haunted Beach”.

Weekend Webdrobe Choices

Since we decided to attend Creep It Real on the Friday of the event, I didn’t exactly have time to make a brand new costume. Fortunately, I had this gorgeous skeleton mermaid dress from Sweet Siren Designs x The Oblong Box Shop and Hallowtiki earrings from Carrie Anne Hudson. Despite my hemming and hawing, I decided to pair them with my Elvira wig. As a bonus, I still had the bangles from my Tikivira at Midsummer Scream 2019. It was a ridiculously last minute look, to the point that I had forgotten makeup brushes, foundation and eyeliner/mascara. It was surprising that I got so many compliments! All in all, I’m quite happy with the results and adding it to my Elvira cosplay gallery.

As mentioned above, we had not planned to attend Creep It Real 2025. Midsummer Scream this year had been quite the splurge already. However, on Friday afternoon, both myself and my husband saw Mr. He sharing that this weekend was their 10 year anniversary of being Mr. He and the amazing last-minute build they were going to have on display at Creep It Real. At the same time, we were texting each other asking if it was too crazy to just up and go. My husband got a hotel room for free and I took care of the tickets and we drove down first thing Saturday morning. In brief, we’re both big enough Mr. He fans to do something so last-miunte crazy.

With this being our second time attending, we had a pretty good lay of the land and things felt much easier to navigate this time around. Despite knowing we would only be attending one day, it felt like we did the legwork. I am confident we saw everything we wanted to see. In fact, we saw even more than expected. My compliments to whomever is the creative genius behind bringing their event themes to life. From the scare actors to the photo-op displays, I was one again left in awe!

As suspected at our last attendance, I’m confident in saying that Creep It Real OC CAN be done all in one day. In addition, I loved the time frame they picked this time from 4pm – 10pm. It was after the heat of the day, with plenty of light to shop. Then, seeing everything light up as the sun set around 6:30 was thrilling. Like being out on Halloween night. I really hope they decide to keep this time frame as I think it compliments their event well.
