Harvest Farms 2025
It has become a family tradition to visit harvest farms and 2025 was no exception with visits to four different farms both old and new! Regretfully, I have not written a blog post about visiting one since 2022. In truth, we’ve continued to enjoy the harvest season experiences. Last year was our most ambitious of visits to four farms all in one day.
Harvest Farms Visited in 2025
This year has tied our record of number of farms visited and that number could grow! We are thinking of visiting couple more since we have loved getting to support local farms with our visits. Visiting these farms has been such a joy. Placing our precious pumpkins around the house has continued to bring a smile to my face. I find myself looking forward to making pumpkin dishes and imagining our inedible ones as carved jack-o-lanterns. They are making so much magic for us.
Patchen Christmas Tree Farm & Pumpkin Patch
While moving in August, our GPS took us down a hidden path off Highway 17 to avoid traffic. Upon which, we drove past a sign that read “Christmas Tree Farm and Pumpkin Patch”. Naturally, we made it our first stop of the season and we were NOT disappointed! There is a lot more to this farm than meets the eye. Should you chose to visit, don’t stick to the main patch area near the parking. Head up the hill to cut your pumpkin straight from the vine or trek through their paths of Christmas trees. Upon which, you’ll discover adorable pumpkin farm stand photo ops and Patchen history facts. Keep in mind that there is a “pumpkin credit’ of $20 upon entry that can go towards your pumpkin purchase.
Post Street Farm
A cute hidden gem of Santa Cruz, this little corner lot is hidden near the Santa Cruz Costco. However, you would never assume that once you are on the property! Full of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, this was my first time seeing pumpkins growing in those little face molds. You know, those ones that have gotten popular on social media. There are also dozens of animatronics around the property, ready to give you a proper jump scare.
Corralitos Hills Farm Stand & Pumpkin Patch
Live gobbling turkeys, a farm stand with fresh-harvested produce and a gorgeous pumpkin patch to romp through. We have already made two trips back to the Corralitos Hills farm and I’m sure I will be back again before the month is through. The family running it is so friendly and welcoming and their produce is delicious! I used both their pie pumpkins and grape vinegar in my pumpkin soup and it turned out soooo good! I cannot wait to cook the Cinderella pumpkin I picked up from them when November comes around. Plus, turkeys!
Dell’Osso Family Farm & Corn Maze
Dell’Osso is old stomping grounds, and we went the first weekend of October with my mom and sister. I may have spent a little too much time gabbing on Cider Hill. Meanwhile, my hubby followed the littles as they thoroughly explored all play structures, obstacle courses and themed areas. Still, we managed to paint some pumpkins, ride the train and explore one of the three corn mazes. Although I feel like the entry fee can be a little steep for a family of four ($30 per person unless child is under two), what is included with it is impressive and I felt that this year was worth the ticket price.
Do Harvest Farms Make Halloween Magic for You?
I know the type of harvest farm available depends a lot on your area. Some places are all about the pumpkins, others, apples. Not only do we have our pick of pumpkin patches, but apple season is just kicking off around us too. Coincidentally, where we live is home to Martinelli’s Apple Cider and I think I should try to get a visit in there too. Personally, farm visits during the Halloween season feel especially whimsical, but I’m curious if you feel the same! What kind of harvest farms are you visiting in October 2025, if any?
It is an honor to be amongst my fellow crypt keepers once more and I am so excited to see how everyone is sharing the Halloween magic throughout the month.
