Join Me for the Holidays at Winchester Mansion

The holidays are just around the corner and I am beyond thrilled to share that I am partnering with the Winchester Mystery House to spread the news about all the festive fun happening at the mansion! There seem to be endless options for the holiday season this year. In my opinion, there is no better time to explore my favorite historic landmark in San Jose.

When do the Holidays at Winchester Mansion begin?

Every Saturday from November 29th through December 27th, the house will be dressed in it’s holiday finest. Guests have the choice of a holiday open house tour or a yuletide themed oddities and curiosities market by The Menagerie Oddities Market. In addition, a magical snowfall is said to happen in the gardens every 30 minutes. All of these will be available each Saturday.

The open house tour is open from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Meanwhile, the Yuletide oddities market will be open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Other ticketed events have various start times. Check out Winchester’s Holidays page for specific times.

What will be available during Holidays at Winchester Mansion?

As mentioned above, both the open house and oddities market will be available every Saturday. In addition, each Saturday night features a different ticketed special event.

Festivities for the Family

Personally, I have adored the decorations throughout the house in previous years. As such, I cannot wait to see how it has been decorated for the open house tour! The open house tour is a very cost-friendly option of $15. This includes access to the oddities market and gardens in addition to the tour and a cup of hot cocoa. Meanwhile, the Yuletide market is only $5 with free admission to all children under 10 years old. My family has attended the oddities market twice in the past and it has been a hit each time.

The biggest highlight for families to note this year is that Santa will be present on December 20th! Guests with tickets to any tour, event, or the Oddities Market on December 20 can enjoy complimentary photos with Santa at the mansion. My children are so excited to see old Saint Nick in one of their favorite places.

Yuletide Cheer for the Young at Heart

Several ticketed events will be available throughout the season from hands-on craft events to festive experiences. Below are the dates and events for those looking for a child-free holiday adventure.

Why Talk About the Holidays at Winchester Mansion Before the Experience?

Typically, I prefer not to post about holiday stuff before Thanksgiving passes, but this is an exception. Even though I have partnered with Winchester to share these events, I am genuinely anticipating all they are offering. As I have shown, I am a passionate lover of the mystery house. Sadly, whenever talk of it arises, I only hear people talk of the ghost stories, but not actually visiting. Why not explore those haunted halls for yourself? The holiday season is an ideal time for spooky spirits and to be enchanted by the past and its’ traditions. Why not bring both together by visiting the Winchester Mystery House? I have been enthusiastically informing everyone I know about the season and hope I now have your interest too!
