November 2025
Sending November's rest our way if you haven't experienced it yet. We've still got four days left of the month, so this is your reminder to take a moment and unwind, if you can. I've taken some time to read and just make things cozy in our room. I have even been putting aside some time to craft for myself. I am LOVING it. Currently, I've been addicted to using these acrylic markers to sketch out ideas and concepts for other projects. I'm not usually a color ghoul in my sketchbook, but these have been super fun to play with.

On the blog, I have been keeping up with the spooky magic and snuggling into Autumn, but I also officially dropped the news that I'm partnering with the Winchester Mystery House to advertise and do some blog coverage of their events starting THIS Saturday! I am so excited about all of it. I may have to do mini-newsletters to share my experiences in a behind-the scenes format with things that won't end up on the blog post itself. We'll see what time allows me.

Unfortunately, a cold has been bouncing back and forth between myself and Lil' Boo. I'm finally on the bend, but it caused a cold sore to pop up this last weekend. I've been doing everything I can to clear it up in time for Saturday, but be sure remind me to keep hydrated to help it heal faster!

Be sure to keep your glass full because it's about to get a whole lot more festive around here!

Life Adventures & Blog Posts — November 2025
November was a bit more quiet for outings, but that's just because we're resting up for the marathon of events in December! As mentioned in my last newsletter, my husband's family gathered for a celebration of life for the family member that passed. It was a very pleasant gathering and was lovely getting to connect with some family members that hadn't made an appearance at gatherings for a while.

Meanwhile, Little Monster received an award at school for academic Achievement and Lil' Boo got to attend his first ever school field trip. I was so proud of our Little Monster for receiving her certificate. Last year, she was really struggling with her reading skills to the point that she had to be part of a special learning group to at least get her on level. At the end of the school year, she still wasn't quite there yet. At home, we have been seeing her make amazing leaps and bounds and growing her interest in reading, but we didn't realize she was excelling so much. So proud of you, Little Monster!

November Highlight: Winchester Partnership for December
The shock and excitement that followed the email I received from Winchester's marketing team cannot be explained. I am so thrilled to spread the news of Winchester's upcoming season full of events and even more excited to take part in them. I hope you are looking forward to seeing all of that coverage.

I have been enthusiastically informing everyone I know about the season and hope I now have your interest too! The stained glass class is already sold out with the tea party soon to be (only one ticket remains at the time of writing this email!). There are still several options to choose from in addition to the self-guided tour and oddities market every Saturday. If you find yourself there, be sure to say hello!

What I'm Weaving Behind the Cobwebs
I got to do all kinds of crafts this month and I feel my creativity soaring because of it. I took a dose of inspiration from Ghoul at Heart with her peppermint widows. Then, when making the kids watch old Wicked Maker videos, I was hit with the dream of making dozens of tinsel ornament spiders in all styles and sizes as our outdoor decor. How adorable would that be?! To say I am OBSESSED is an understatement.

For creating, I've spent a lot of time brainstorming my outfits for each Saturday at Winchester. Mainly, what I plan to wear to the Tea Party with the Vogels on the 13th. I'm drafting out a Victorian gingerbread look. You would think there was more inspiration for this. However! My searching for a Victorian Gingerbread Lady did not yield much. I find it hard to believe I'll be the first to do this, but I may very well be and that makes it all the more exciting of a challenge!

This week, I finally put the time into getting those finer details drafted and the actual Victorian dress cut out. It's slow-coming, but I'm confident I can get it done in time for the 13th! I've spent the last two days fine-tuning the pattern and I think it's ready for me to go all in. Yes. I WILL have a post dedicated just to crafting this gingerbread-inspired creation. EEK! I'm so excited.

Gingerbread Victorian aside, I also started working on the details for all of the other outfits. My goal is to have all my accessories feature spiderwebs or spiders with wintertime themes. This weekend will be stained-glass spiderweb window earrings, next weekend will feature some of those tinsel decorations I was making above for the rock orchestra and the final weekend will be snow-web inspired for the wine and paint. I just need to decide how I'll dress for the Santa weekend. I'm thinking of going classic for Santa, but also thinking of how I can take inspiration from the classic Christmas spider story. Do you have any ideas for me?
