Trick or Treat Trail 2024 @ WMH
In 2024, the Winchester Mystery House partnered once again with the Valle Monte League to bring a Trick or Treat Trail for a family-friendly Halloween festival. It built off of and improved what had been established at the little pumpkin harvest fest in 2023. Like the previous year, it was a perfect vintage styled event for families to bring their little pumpkins to.
For this year, the organizers chose to do away with the ticket system. Everything in the gardens was free and unlimited for children to do as they desired. Like in the previous year, the children received a treat bag with a trail map with about 20 treat stations. In addition to the treating stations, the carnival games, crafts, photo ops and pumpkin decorating had all returned.
Little Monster adored the coloring station, so we spent a lot of time there. Luckily, we were able to coax her to move on when we mentioned there was a crafting station inside the garage. Here, you could craft a wind sock ghost and a bead bracelet. Meanwhile, Lil’ Boo enjoyed interacting with the photo ops most. Most especially the “invisible” man and the coffins. Lastly, like last year, the children were once more able to pick out their own pumpkin and decorate it.
Final Thoughts for the 2024 Trick or Treat Trail
For me, I LOVED that they got to knock on the front door of Winchester to trick or treat! Honestly, what a great moment to remember. In fact, the Valle Monte League seemed to embrace their theme of “trick or treat trail” in 2024 much better, focusing more on the treat stations.
If you find yourself in San Jose on October 26th, consider this your invitation to join their Trick-or-Treat trail with your little monsters.
It is an honor to be amongst my fellow crypt keepers once more and I am so excited to see how everyone is sharing the Halloween magic throughout the month.
