Here for the Boos

I had the honor of creating a costume inspired by the Halloween catch phrase “Here for the Boos” for the Spooky Little Halloween magazine 2022 issue. This was such a memorable project and I was so honored to be invited to pick a phrase to personify. It’s still one of my favorite non-costume looks I’ve made. I do not wear it enough for how proud of it I am.

I immediately knew what I was going to create when Spooky gave us the different phrases to choose from. There was never a doubt that “Here for the Boos” was going to be my pick. I wanted to play heavy into the ghostly vibe by creating a sheer overdress from a cobweb lace while walking around with a glass full of boos. Instead, it turned into a glass of ghosts saying “boo”, but I think it turned out quite charming.
