Holiday Concert in the Gardens at Winchester Mansion

The Holidays at Winchester Mansion continue with the return of The Menagerie Oddities Market yuletide themed oddities and curiosities market, holiday tour with snowfall, and a live holiday concert in the gardens featuring the Renegade Orchestra.

Dressing for Holiday Festivities AND a concert in the gardens

Naturally, I cannot resist theming my outfits for these holiday festivities. This weekend was due to be a chilly one, but that didn’t stop me from being fashionable!

This teal jumpsuit from Miss Candy Floss has become my formalwear for fancy occasions and felt perfect for a holiday concert. To keep warm and cozy once the sun went down, I paired it with a winter coat also from Miss Candy Floss. I accessorized the look with homemade stained glass earrings using Gallery Glass paints like I did with the cobweb tealight holders and my favorite winter pin of Mari Lywd from Bat in Your Belfry. Believe it or not, the shoes are some of my most comfy heels and they are from Lola Ramona. To complete the look, I slapped on my trusty Bésame Cosmetics lipstick in Holiday Red for festive flair.

Week Two of the Yuletide Oddities & Curiosities Market

There was so much to discover at the outdoor market and I wished I had a bottomless wallet to shop with all of the vendors I chatted with. However, as I will be there nearly every weekend, I had to pace myself. That didn’t stop my from taking photos and business cards to remember for the next time or following the markets.

Yuletide Market Purchases

Most vendors were going to be repeat sellers, however, some were only showing this weekend or one other. I tried to make a point of shopping with those I might not catch later. Before I jump into the goodies I came home with, I wanted to give a yuletide shoutout to these other vendors that I fell in love with, but had to save shopping with for another time.

Imagine Emerald Designs

mushroom ornament by Imagine Emerald Designs

Emerald’s sculpted mushrooms are so realistic and we had every intention of purchasing from her the previous weekend, but she had sold out of the ornament we had been eying. Lucky for us, she had made a new batch and we did not leave until we had a mushy pair to bring home.

So Many Shapes

I’m a very scent-sitive gal and very particular when it comes to scented candles. I had a sniff of the candles from So Many Shapes during the previous weekend, that I scouted out her booth this weekend to pick up a pair of her “Haunted Manor” scented candles.

D. Kerper Arts

My husband fell in love with Danielle’s adorable greeting cards and Elvira shirt she had on display. However, we ended up taking home this lovely hand-painted ghost ornament instead. Looking forward to supporting her more in the new year!

Live Holiday Concert with Renegade Orchestra

I have an appreciation for live orchestra music and the backdrop of the house made this so special and magical. I just wasn’t sure how much my little ones would enjoy it…in case you cannot tell from the photos above, they LOVED it. We all sang along, bopped and danced to the music. It was extremely fun. As if that wasn’t enough, some songs were timed with the snow machine lamp posts. This was such a delightful touch that added to the magic.

There are still three more Saturdays to enjoy at the Winchester Mansion in December. The oddities market continues with different themes! In addition, the weekend of December 20th, guests with tickets to any tour, event, or the Oddities Market can enjoy complimentary photos with Santa at the mansion.
