Jack-o-Lantern Patch Craft Tradition
I’m so terrible at keeping up with annual art projects with my kids, but I love how we’ve managed to do exactly that with our ceramic jack-o-lantern pumpkin patch craft.
We’ve been painting these pumpkins since I was pregnant with my son. The big fully orange one is the first that Little Monster painted. The two mini ones were from last year which came in a kit from Target that included foam stickers for the faces. However, Lil’ Boo pulled them off this year. Oops. The two jack-o-lanterns in the patch that look the same are from this year. I LOVE the autumn ombre Little Monster went on hers. I know that there are quite a few that look unfinished. Subsequently, it will be a chance to see where their artistic skill develops as time passes.
Seeing them painting their pumpkins is the most satisfying part of this project. Even if it is for a short five to ten minutes. I love observing their focus and thought into each brush stroke.
I’ve seen so many cute memento crafts over the years. Is there one you love to do with your children?
