Creep It Real OC 2026
Creep It Real OC 2026 delivered the Hometown Halloween of my dreams, complete with all the vintage Halloween vibes a ghoul could ask for. And what better way to kick off the Halloween season before I jump into countdown posts than with a recap of what is stubbornly nuzzling into my heart as one of my favorite events to attend each year.
Weekend Webdrobe Choices
The family and I attended Creep It Real on both Friday and Saturday. Naturally, I had two fun looks planned for the weekend.
For Friday, I opted for comfy. I made a new shirt for sips & spirits and paired it with my Halloween lanterns skirt by Stephanie Buscema. To accessorize, I used my Punkin Shop vintage-inspired ghost earrings and Tres Noir cobweb sunnies from Comet Girl Sunnies.
Saturday, I went full vintage to pair with the theme. I took one of my 1940’s styled dresses from Miss Candyfloss and gave it a full Halloween makeover. I used my cricut to cut this witch crow motif out of felt, then hand-sewed each one into place. Next, I found this delightful beaded trim to add to the hem and sleeves. I happened to have this crow mask laying around that I picked up from a Spirit Halloween years ago. Lastly, I made a little mini clip-on witch hat with the extra felt from the crows. Both of these accessories and really brought everything together.
Creep It Real OC 2026
Creep It Real boasted a “Hometown Halloween” and they delivered! If there is one thing Creep It Real always pulls off extremely well, it is the theme. After three years of attending, I can say this with confidence. From the vintage-styled characters, to the photo-op spots to the music playlist, it was a vintage Halloween lover’s dream come true. I especially love the themed characters. They were total champs in the humid heat and totally added to the vibes. I was completely enamored by the pumpkin head duo, but both vintage witches were too delightful. They were going up to little ones to give out candy when they said “trick or treat”. I was in love with every interaction I got to share or witness with each character. It felt like everyone was eager to embrace the spirit of a Hometown Halloween. Carnival games were set up near the gazebo, the Boo Belles were performing classic tunes in a capella and the blur of orange and black costumes was a true delight.
Once again, there was a well-rounded selection of vendors. I got to shop with both old and new businesses. However, I will admit that this year, I shopped more with the vendors I was already familar with. I especially loved the time I spent gabbing with TT and Josh of Hall-Lore-Ween. It was wonderful to meet them together in person to support their books!
Let’s not forget the best part of attending this event. Meeting all my spooky friends! Unlike other events where I’m attending as media, myself and fellow Halloweenies attend this weekend purely for the energy. There is no media passes to be documenting coverage for or running off to catch the next panel. It’s this organic movement of running into friends, having the moment to chitchat for a bit and not rushing off.

I got to have quite a few moments with All Hallows Geek and All Hallows Wife, which was extra special as they are usually the busiest of our friends. As if that wasn’t enough, our pals, Juan2ThreeTraditions joined us all the way from San Antonio, Texas! They even stayed at the same hotel and we had a delightful time discussing the event and checking out other spooky things around the area together.
Final Thoughts for Creel It Real OC 2026
Getting back on topic to Creep It Real…this even is really one to attend, especially for families or for those who feel overwhelmed by the larger crowds. Event organizers and attendees both are so kind and courteous to each other and everyone seems to be enjoying the scene at a leisurely pace. It is pure magic you have to experience for yourself.

Until next time, Creep It Real!
