Be Kind to Spiders Week 2025: Spidery Spring Mood Mantle

As Be Kind to Spider Week comes to a close, I wanted to set a relaxing mood by spinning simply with a spidery spring mantle. When thinking about “spinning simply”, the thoughts for decorating our fireplace mantle in the family room was one of the first. As such, you can imagine I feel quite proud of the end result. Whenever I walk into the room, I cannot help but feel all giddy seeing it.

We spend a lot of time in our family room. As the seasons shifted from winter to spring, I wanted to be sure to set the mood to match. As such, many of the crafts I made for the week were inspired to be displayed on the mantle in some way. Lastly, I incorporated fresh flowers. Bringing something living into the mantle gave a little extra life I wasn’t expecting. (Vases were an Ikea clearance find that I’m still debating over painting like the candle holders) Since arranging the flowers, it’s been absolutely lovely watching them slowly bloom.

Obviously, I need to work on the lighting, but I cannot wait to give this another try very soon.
