Sips & Spirits Haunting IG Live
You are in for an Instagram Live double feature this Sunday, October 17th following my Websday Live with Spooky Little Halloween. Erick and I will be haunting Sooky Little Halloween’s IG Live series as Sips & Spirits. Trust me when I say it’s going to be faboolous!
Erick and I worked together to create an original cocktail in honor of Miranda. Almost every ingredient has a special meaning behind it and we cannot wait to walk everyone through this magical concoction Sunday night. However, we wanted to be sure we gave you enough time to gather those ingredients. And so! We present our cocktail a little early.
Brace yourselves for…
Spooky’s Brew
Spooky’s Brew (Alcoholic)
Equipment
- Lowball / Mai Tai / Martini style glass (chilled)
- Jigger
- bar spoon (just a spoon will work too)
- Knife
- Lemon juicer
Ingredients
- 2 oz Empress Gin can substitute for any gin, but what sells this cocktail is the color. If you can, try to pick up a bottle of Empress. Half bottles can be found at BevMo if you don’t want to be stuck with a whole bottle.
- 1 half Lemon to be juiced
- 1/2 oz Rosemary Simple Syrup Make this at home! Bring equal parts of sugar and water to a boil then add sprig of fresh rosemary and let boil for 5 minutes.
- Pink Lemonade
- 1 bag Haribro sour vampire bats Optional garnish – can be found at Target
Instructions
- Prechill glass or add ice ball.
- Add simple syrup & Empress gin to glass. Stir.
- Squeeze half lemon into jigger then slowly float into glass.
- Slowly float pink lemonade to desired fill.
- Slice into body of bat gummy on tail end to place on glass rim.
- Enjoy!

The majority of the ingredients listed can be substituted and suggestions are noted whenever possible.
But that’s not all! Whenever we design a cocktail, we try to provide a mocktail to match. Whatever the reason, we understand that not everyone wishes to or is able to indulge in alcohol and we find it valuable to offer an alternative so you can still be a part of the fun.

- 1 half Lemon to be juiced
