Virgo is the Velvet Spider

Virgo is an often misinterpreted sign from being depicted as the “virgin”, but actually plays an interesting balance between conscientiousness and ambition. Internally, Virgo has a restless energy, fueled by their desire to know more and grow their wisdom. However, externally, they show a cool character run by rationality. A meeting with a Virgo will leave you puzzled over their true nature, as they are an interesting mystery that they themselves have yet learned to solve. Virgo tends to seek the complex route, attempting to understand with rational thinking and practicality, even when approaching a situation that should be governed by feelings. Still, despite their desire for order, they adjust quite well to any changes presented before them.

A Little About
Eresus Sandaliatus

Also nicknamed the “Ladybird Spider” thanks to it’s bright red abdomen with black spots, this spider family displays a unique trait not often found in other arachnids. Don’t judge her on her unkempt wooly-like webs because the maternal instinct in this spider is strong. With the exception of not having a queen, these spiders share the responsibility of raising newly hatched young. This old world spider will sacrifice herself to feed the brood, even if she did not lay any eggs, becoming a virgin sacrifice.

The velvet spider does not seem to hesitate in her duty for the brood, very much like a Virgo called to action, making this spider a strong contender to represent this sign. Eresidae are like a whole hive of Virgo called together and her priority for her young’s survival is a true calling of Virgo’s straight-forward nature.
